Furontia is born in Portland, OR where everyone calls “ the sneaker town”. Founder Vicky has been living here for 6 years, witnessing the up and down in the world center of sportswear industry. Born and raised in Shanghai, China, She is passion about sports and products. Amazed about how connected the grassroots community is with sports brands in the US, how the brands help and develop their strategy around the community , she decide to bring this concept back to China where sports just starts to grow , at a very rapid rate, in a new retail ecosystem powered by the digital era. Her vision is to empower grass-roots athletes to engage in sports, enjoy playing games , and help to develop a strong foundation of China’s future sports community.

Vicky, born and raised in China, moved to the US in 2011 after high school, attended Fashion Institute of Technology and Cornell for school . She has 5 years of working experience in sportswear industry with a master degree in sustainability apparel and marketing . She has worked in Adidas and Puma global headquarters in the US and Germany , cross multiple functions such as Sports Science Innovation , Material Development, Apparel Development, Supply Chain and Merchandising in 3 different markets ( US/China/ Germany). She specializes in team sports category ( basketball NBA, basketball NCAA, American football NCAA, American Soccer MSL etc) and Original lifestyle category.
She has a cross-functional understanding of product creation , sourcing and supply chain within sportswear industry , also a deep culture understanding of school team sports and grass-roots organization.
She believes the power of data and digitalization can bring next revolution to sportswear industry to better serve the athletes and community. Vicky’s goal is to bring “grassroots community “ concept into sports industry to China to service the upcoming market with a digital approach.
